The Toilet
Sucked and sucked,
Sucked so hard it drew blood,
Sucked and sucked so strong and long
It sucked itself in a rattle
Flush down itself:
But not before HIS bottom
Had been torn off,
The flesh stripped
Searing from the bone
In a bloodied mass of foam and guts
Spewed into the heart of the bowl.
The toilet sucked and sucked,
And with a screech and a squelch
He disappeared,
Sucked ’till his eye-teeth
Dropped out
And then his skull
Imploded
And then
All gone.
Who was he?
Some say he was a madman
Verging on the edge of genius,
Too strong for the world,
This world,
Let it slip,
His reality,
Tore into that other reality
And won.
Christ, I hope not,
For there but for the grace of God -
5/5/00
Imagine if the only thing that makes our world real is us seeing it.
Supposing that one day your imagination was so intense that you imagined yourself into a different world – a nightmare world …
Also a metaphor for mental illness and the thin line between ‘sanity’ and ‘insanity’.

OMG!!Totally awesome! I love the way you have used your imagination and sucked it all up together to create this cool poem. I really love the “but sucking” thing…. If you make another one try and make it a little bit more scary.
