The Bank was Big,
The Bank was Strong,
The Bank was Never In The Wrong:
It fleeced its customers with charges,
Closed down all its local branches,
Paid the Top Cats Greed-O-Money
(Made foreign loans that went all funny),
Cherry-picked to keep the poor out
(Denied it but there is no doubt),
Swilled around with loads of cash
But struggled, struggled, made a hash
Of managing a decent profit
(Those immoral loans had surely cost it),
Spent millions on its advertising
(Though nothing changed, expensive lying),
Lent only on security
It clawed back with impunity,
Kept queues up high, kept staff down low
(The internet’s the place to go):
Bloated, crass, it did its worst,
Led by the bumbling, grey accursed.

If you’ve ever had extortionate demands for bank charges or had the rug pulled out from under your feet when trying to set up a little business you’ll know that banks are amoral, if not immoral. The image they sell through T.V. is nothing like their reality. As for internet banking, my experience is of endless drones copying and pasting replies to questions. Yeugh.
