Here’s warmth unremarkable,
A lifetime of struggle cheerily overcome,
Three kids, an alcoholic husband, divorce,
The day-to-day miracle of kept integrity
Forging through life
Whilst all around fall.
It’s a privilege to meet you,
A privilege to see the lamp held and to follow the light,
To be in the same arc.
Not many walk this way in the night,
And the lights are few;
I trust your sight.
In the same arc
A wonderful woman overcoming all problems through cheery resolution, keeping her integrity and her warmth. One in a million.
This is a verse of the poem "As I walked home"
