Freedom Dust burns to the bone in screaming agony,
Freedom Dust (like French Fries) – sorry, Freedom Fries -
Builds a barrier of words and lies
Between us and reality,
Freedom Dust protects us from ourselves and our miserable lives built on
Exploitation
Destruction
Invasion,
Allows us to stay (however briefly) rich,
Allows us to bury our heads in the sand,
Prevents us from
Thinking
Questioning
Analysing
Criticising
Wondering
Hoping
Dreaming
And instead allows us to carry on deceiving and scheming.
Dec.2005
This poem imagines if White Phosporous (used in one of Bush’s wars) had been termed ‘Freedom Dust’, just as ‘French Fries’ were termed ‘Freedom Fries’ – an exercise in looking at how words can be used to control people’s perceptions.

I like it because it good but I doubt that freedom should allows people to criticize themselves because there is freedom of speech and that will encourage criticism in the nation.

Wow!
I quite agree, nobody should think for themselves, the President is always right, and God is always on the side of America
