Christianity and Islam

So this is Christianity, they say:
Peopled with the intolerant, the sad,
The wildcards and all those who like to pray
To a God of violence, who seems quite mad

With endless destruction, unending pain,
Who can only stomach being called One name -
No, I’ve met true Christians, they seem quite sane:
But few and far between, they share the same

Vision as the true Muslim believer -
Spiritual growth, the permanent quest for change,
A little fervour but not like a fever,
They live in a world that sees them as strange:

Ah! My friends – praise God and live another day:
You’ve figured out how to live the middle way.
