Christianity and Islam

So this is Christianity, they say:
Peopled with the intolerant, the sad,
The wildcards and all those who like to pray
To a God of violence, who seems quite mad

With endless destruction, unending pain,
Who can only stomach being called One name -
No, I’ve met true Christians, they seem quite sane,
But few and far between, they share the same

Vision as the true Muslim believer -
Spiritual growth, the permanent quest for change,
A little fervour but not like a fever,
They live in a world that sees them as strange …

Ah! My friends, praise God and live another day,
You’ve figured how to live the middle way.

There are decent people in all religions who are interested purely in their own spiritual growth and who are not fanatics, extremists or violently-minded.
