Busy, busy, busy

This woman is busy, busy, busy,
Work is HER ethic -
The harder you work, the happier you are,
Thoughts went out of the window a long time ago
Once she’d found a rock to cling to.
Her certainty makes life easy,
Though she slips and slides and slithers.
Somehow, however, she always ends up atop her rock,
Proclaiming to the world how right she is,
How right she was all along.

A short poem about a self-righteous woman who was never wrong - ever - and who maintained this self-image by being technically very precise about the words she’d used, slipping and sliding and slithering
